What is the Introduction to Sewing course?

An Introduction to Sewing is designed for complete beginners and offers a relaxed, supportive way to get started. I’ll also be adding more courses in the future as the studio grows.

What will I learn?

In this 2-hour session, you’ll learn the basic functions of a sewing machine, simple cutting techniques, and create a small project to take home with you.

What’s included?

All materials and tools needed in the lesson are included. You’ll also be able to choose one metre of quilting fabric from my collection to take home and practise what you’ve learned — all included in the course price. Light refreshments will be available during the session.

Do I need my own sewing machine?

You’re very welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or you can use one of the studio machines.

 

Can I come with a friend?

You can book a place just for yourself, or share the experience with a friend at a discounted price.

Using your own sewing machine

If you’d prefer to use your own sewing machine, you’re very welcome to bring it along. To ensure everything runs smoothly on the day, machines will need to be dropped off at least a week in advance so they can be checked for basic functionality and safety.

How much does the course cost?

£70 per person, or £100 for two when booking together.
